This page explains what MC Constructions collects when you use the deck pricing tool at price.mcconstructionsvic.com.au, who else receives it, and how to ask for a copy of it or have it deleted. It covers this pricing site only.
Who we are
MC Constructions is a Melbourne carpentry business run by Marco Centracchio, servicing the south east and bayside, right across Melbourne, and Geelong for larger projects. MC Constructions decides what happens to the information you give us here. This site is built and operated for MC Constructions by Ryder Digital, which handles that information on our behalf and for no other purpose.
If you want to talk to a person about anything on this page, email info@mcconstructionsvic.com.au or call 0485 048 469.
What we collect
You tell us some of this. The rest is collected automatically when you use the site.
What you type in.
- Your name, email address and mobile number, at the step where the pricing tool asks for them.
- The details of the job you are pricing: the size of the deck, the material, whether it is a new deck or a replacement, roughly when you want it done, and the part of Melbourne or Geelong you are in.
- Whether the job is one Marco takes on: a Geelong job under his minimum is told so on the spot, and the estimate and the area you gave are kept so he can see it.
- The address of the property, if you go on to book a site measure, because Marco has to drive to it.
If you type your name and email and then leave before finishing, that partial enquiry is still sent to us, so Marco can follow up by email. We would rather say that plainly than have it come as a surprise.
What is collected automatically.
- Your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you look at on this site, and how far through the pricing tool you get.
- Which advertisement or link brought you here, from the code on the end of the web address you arrived on.
- How you use the pricing page, including clicks, scrolling and movement between calculator steps. Microsoft Clarity makes a visual replay of the visit so we can see where the page is confusing or people leave. It masks what you type into form fields.
How we use it
- To give you the price range the tool is for, and to prepare a proper quote.
- To contact you about your enquiry, by phone, text or email.
- To arrange and confirm a site measure, including the confirmation email you receive.
- To understand which advertisements and which parts of the page actually lead to enquiries, so the advertising budget goes on the ones that work.
We do not sell your information, and we do not pass it to other builders, tradespeople or lead-buying services.
Who receives it
- MC Constructions. Marco, who is the person quoting your job.
- Ryder Digital. The studio that runs this site and the booking system for MC Constructions. It stores the enquiry and the booking so Marco can work from it, and uses it for nothing else.
- Meta, the company behind Facebook and Instagram. This site uses the Meta Pixel, so Meta receives that a visit happened, which page it was on and which steps were reached, and uses that to measure the advertising and to build audiences. When you complete the pricing tool or book a site measure, we also report that conversion to Meta from our own server, with your contact details scrambled first. What that means is explained below.
- Google. This site uses Google Analytics through Google Tag Manager, for the same kind of measurement.
- Microsoft. Microsoft Clarity receives usage information to provide session recordings and heatmaps on the pricing page. We use these to improve the pricing experience, and label visits by advertisement variant so we can compare how the page performs.
- Email delivery. Booking confirmations are sent through the email service the booking system uses, which handles the message in order to deliver it.
Two details worth stating plainly, because they are deliberate choices rather than accidents.
Google receives no contact details at all. As you move through the pricing tool, what reaches Google Analytics is the step you reached, not what you typed. At the step where you enter your mobile number, what is reported is whether a number was given, as a yes or no, and never the number itself. The same goes for your name, email and address.
Meta receives your contact details in a scrambled form, and only when you actually enquire or book. When you finish the pricing tool or book a site measure, our server tells Meta that the conversion happened, and sends your name, email address and mobile number turned into a code by a one-way scrambling process. Meta compares that code against the same code made from its own users' details, which is how it works out that the person who enquired is the person who was shown the advertisement. That is what makes it possible to tell which advertisements lead to real work rather than to clicks. Being straight about what it does and does not do: nobody can read your email address or your phone number back out of the code, but if you already have a Facebook or Instagram account under the same details, the match is how Meta recognises you. If you would rather that did not happen, the ad settings linked below are where you change it, and you can also simply telephone Marco on 0485 048 469 instead of using this form.
Cookies and storage on your device
This site stores a small amount of information in your own browser so the pricing tool, the booking page and the confirmation page recognise you as one visit rather than three separate people.
mcc-visitor, kept until you clear your browser storage. A random id, so somebody returning on the same phone is recognised as the same visitor. It is not tied to your name.mcc-sessionandmcc-variant, cleared when you close the tab. The current visit, and which advertisement it came from.mcc-fbc, cleared when you close the tab. The identifier Meta puts on the link in its own advertisement, kept for the visit so the booking page can report the same click the first page did.
Meta, Google and Microsoft Clarity may set their own cookies through their measurement tags, under their own terms rather than ours. You can block or clear all of this in your browser settings, and the pricing tool will still work.
Your choices
- You can stop at any point in the pricing tool. Nothing is sent to us until you reach the step that asks for your name and email.
- You can ask us to stop contacting you, and we will.
- You can change what Meta uses for advertising in your Meta ad preferences.
- You can change the same thing at Google in My Ad Center, and you can turn off Google Analytics entirely with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Asking what we hold, or having it deleted
Email info@mcconstructionsvic.com.au and you can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, or delete it. We will answer within a reasonable time and we will not charge you for it. If you are not happy with how we handle that, you can raise it with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and booking details for as long as we need them to answer your enquiry, to do the work if it goes ahead, and for our business records afterwards. When we no longer need them, we remove them. If you ask us to delete your details sooner, we will.
Keeping it safe
Your enquiry travels over an encrypted connection and is stored in a system with restricted access. No website can promise that information is completely safe, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. What we can say is that access is limited to the people who need it to quote and do your job.
Changes to this policy
If what we collect or who receives it changes, we will update this page and change the date at the top. This version is dated 19 September 2026.
